Puerto Rico Jet Charter arranges passenger flights on the full private-aviation fleet, from single-engine pistons out to VIP airliners, in and out of Luis Muñoz Marín (SJU), Isla Grande (SIG), Rafael Hernández (BQN), Vieques (VQS), and the regional fields. What you fly depends on how many are on board, how far you are going, and which airport lets you skip the drive.
Aircraft Categories We Book
Each category page below runs through the platforms in that class, the trip patterns that fit them out of Puerto Rico, and the airport-fit notes that shape the actual booking.

Turboprops, Pistons, and Helicopters
- Turboprops: King Air 250 / 350, Pilatus PC-12, TBM 900, Grand Caravan 208B. The workhorse for Vieques (VQS) direct, Culebra (via CPX for very small aircraft), and regional runs.
- Pistons: Cirrus SR22, Beech Baron 58, Piper Aztec, Cessna 340. Two to six seats, inter-island short hops, and airports the jets cannot use.
- Helicopters: Bell 407, Sikorsky S-76, Airbus (Eurocopter). Hotel-pad transfers, resort-to-resort island hops, and marina pickups.
How Puerto Rico Trips Get Matched
Category shortlist starts with three inputs: passenger count, route, and airport. The 10,400 ft runway at SJU takes any jet in the fleet. SIG, closer to Old San Juan and Condado, handles light and midsize jets and case-by-case super-midsize; heavy jets go to SJU. BQN in Aguadilla has an 11,702 ft runway and works for west-coast trips (Rincón, Mayagüez). VQS in Vieques handles turboprops and light jets only. Beyond that, we match trip type: recurring Act 60 residency travel to New York or Miami often prefers super-midsize or heavy for cabin comfort; pharma group charters run midsize to VIP airliner; family winter escape to Dorado Beach fits midsize round-trip; a Vieques weekend fits a King Air or TBM direct.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator we book is checked against the same list, regardless of aircraft category. The full write-up sits on the safety and vetting page. In short, we only book flights with:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs).
- Third-party safety audits current with Wyvern (Wingman or PASS) or ARGUS (Gold, Platinum, or Platinum Elite).
- Aircraft-specific insurance, pilot experience, and maintenance records reviewed against the specific trip.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
