How Puerto Rico Households Use Us

Act 60 decree holders splitting time between the island and a mainland business hub typically use a mix of on-demand charter and the occasional jet card leg. Family offices managing principals’ travel use us as the supplemental aviation arm when their owned aircraft is in maintenance or schedules stack. Single-trip clients book us for a specific event: a week at Dorado Beach or Bahia Beach, a Vieques bio-bay weekend, a cruise-ship connection, or a group golf trip at Palmas del Mar.

Pick the Right Lane

If your situation does not match one of the lanes above, tell your advisor. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit, and if not, we will point you somewhere that is.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs).
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Puerto Rico-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30 and statistically peaks from mid-August through early October. We work with you on schedule cushion and forecast windows when those months drive the calendar. If changes are required due to weather and passenger safety, you can expect your advisor to reach out as soon as we are aware. SJU handles every jet category on its 10,400-foot main runway; SIG (Isla Grande) sits closer to Old San Juan and Condado when the aircraft fits its 5,539-foot runway. For west-coast trips, BQN (Aguadilla) offers an 11,702-foot ex-military runway that accepts any category.
