Aircraft That Fit These Trips
The right aircraft depends on group size, origin, and schedule. Small groups (4 to 8 passengers) fit a light jet or super light jet on shorter mainland US legs. Groups of 8 to 12 typically fit a midsize or super midsize jet. Larger groups and ultra-long-range trips move up to heavy jets, long range jets, or a VIP airliner for the whole party on one aircraft.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Puerto Rico Patterns We Plan Around
Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30 and peaks statistically from mid-August through early October. We work with you on schedule cushion and forecast windows when those months drive the calendar. If changes are required due to weather and passenger safety, you can expect your advisor to reach out as soon as we are aware. SJU handles every jet category on its 10,400-foot main runway; SIG (Isla Grande) sits closer to Condado and Old San Juan when the aircraft fits its 5,539-foot runway. BQN (Aguadilla) covers west-coast trips on an 11,702-foot ex-military runway. FBO handling on the ground is coordinated by your operator on arrival.
