Puerto Rico King Air 90 Charter

The King Air 90 is a compact Puerto Rico turboprop twin from San Juan (SJU) and Isla Grande (SIG), seating 4 to 6 with 840 nautical miles of range. It suits short island hops and positioning legs to Vieques (VQS, 4,301 feet), Culebra, and the nearby islands. The original, smallest King Air.

Beechcraft introduced the King Air 90 in the 1960s as the first of the line, cruising near 226 knots up to about 30,000 feet on two PT6 turboprops. It brought pressurized twin-turboprop travel to smaller groups.

Why the King Air 90 Fits Puerto Rico

From Puerto Rico the King Air 90 fits the small-group island trip: San Juan or Isla Grande out to Vieques, Culebra, or St. Thomas with a few passengers. Twin-turboprop reliability at a modest size is the draw.

For light regional legs out of SJU and SIG, the 90 is the entry point to the King Air line.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
