The Cirrus SR-22 is a modern single-engine piston for light Puerto Rico trips from San Juan (SJU) and Isla Grande (SIG), seating three to four with 1,207 nautical miles of range. It suits one or two passengers on short island hops, with the reassurance of a whole-airframe parachute system. The best-selling piston single of its generation.
Cirrus Aircraft introduced the SR-22 in 2001 with a composite airframe and the CAPS whole-aircraft parachute, cruising near 183 knots up to 17,500 feet. Modern avionics and safety systems define it.

For the smallest, most economical charters out of SJU, the SR-22 is a current-generation single.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates; reports may be provided on request.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
